Job Purpose:

Plans and prepares production schedules for business unit organization. Translates orders into a sequential work schedule. Confer with departments supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates. Complies and communicates reports on progress of work, inventory levels, cost and production problems

Job Duties

  • Interface with internal organizations and working closely with internal personnel to develop alternative supplier and technologies
  • Initiate cost Savings
  • Evaluates and negotiates vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers
  • Responsible for reviewing MRP on a daily bases and issue TO, WO and PO on a timely manner
  • Responsible for confirming TO and PO from vendor and revise contracts (PO & TO) accordingly
  • Responsible for following up with vendors for TO and PO issued to ensure on time delivery
  • Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
  • Responsible for the procurement of assigned commodities, services and materials used in plant operations and production.
  • Responsible for maintaining supplier relationships, identify and develop new suppliers that support our goals of improved quality, excellent delivery and reduced cost.
  • Review Reverse MRP to prevent overstock

  • Optimize global replenishment effort to balance inventory, exposure and service level.
  • Act as point person for significant replenishment needs, questions or concerns to assign commodities/suppliers

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field and/or 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • In depth knowledge and experience with replenishment, logistics & supply chain management preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based PC software applications.
  • High degree of initiative. Eagerness to seek and seize opportunities.
  • Ability to pull, analyze and synthesize data to inform strategic, operational and tactical decision-making.
  • Experience with MRP systems.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English language
